Kovilic Construction Company, Inc. ("KCC") is a full service general contractor, having served the Chicagoland area and abroad since 1961. Onsite project management, safety and health representation are integral to a successful project. That being said, KCC has taken every possible step to ensure a safe, risk and hazard-free environment for our laborers to perform in with regard to all scopes of work.
Proper planning prior to the construction phase of a given project ensures high-quality results and maximum efficiency. During the preconstruction phase, KCC takes great care in:
-Familiarizing all project-specific key personnel with the project work scope, tasks to be performed and overall design intent
-Establishing a detailed construction schedule highlighting all activities including purchasing, fabrication, shop drawing production and construction work in place
-Generating submittals for Architect's / Engineer's / Owner's review and approval prior to implementation
-Preparing and executing subcontract agreements and purchase orders
-Ordering and expediting the delivery of all materials
-Procuring bonds, insurance, permits etc. required for construction startup
-Generating and implementing a project-specific safety plan, activity hazard analysis, quality control plan and environmental protection plan
Following project commencement, several key expectations will be proactively met, including:
-An open line of communication, from project startup to final completion, between KCC and the project owner, project architect / engineer in-fact, applicable government agencies, regulatory agencies and commissions with a vested interest in the task order at hand
-Strict adherence to all Federal, state and local regulatory agencies with respect to safety in addition to all rules and regulations as beset by OSHA
-A disciplined workforce of experience laborers directed by a knowledgeable project superintendent
-Appropriate equipment for all onsite operations, from basic hand tools to complex heavy machinery
-The timely delivery of all required correspondence including daily and weekly reports, submittals, pay requests, inspection records etc.
Following project completion, KCC will strive to ensure that:
-Deficient work / punchlist items are addressed as quickly as possible
-Post-construction documentation, including as-built drawings, surveys, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties etc. are delivered in a timely manner
